Kirk grew up on this land and now we’ll get to raise our boys here, and leave them something to tend if they want to follow in our footsteps. The Holmes Family Legacy
Holmes Grown is rooted in generations of family farming in Southern California. This land entered the family’s hands in 1925 and was passed down from generation to generation, until Kirk inherited it in 2024. After Kirk’s mother passed in 2024, the family decided to move back to their roots and carry on the legacy family avocado grove in North San Diego County — 10 acres of thriving Hass avocados, along with a few treasured Fuerte trees. It’s not practical or economical, but it’s very meaningful to the family to revive and save the grove.
What began as a hobby farm for my parents in the 70s, has now become our mission: save the family legacy, revive and profitize the grove, leave something to our boys. Our passion for eating whole real foods, regenerative practices, and honoring American legacies have become our core values.

Meet Kirk
Raised on this avocado grove from the age of 4, it’s been a blessing to move back and raise his boys on the same land, climbing the same trees. Kirk is the brains behind the business side, with a degree in Business Finance and a lifetime of experience around growing avocados. Watch his daily antics over on our Tiktok channel!

Kirk and Becca are raising their boys, Neil (4) and Archer (2) right on this grove where Kirk was raised. They love climbing avocado trees, baking in their mud kitchen, and helping mom in the kitchen and garden.

Meet Becca
Moving to an avocado grove became a dream come true that Becca didn’t even know she had! Ever since becoming a mom, and being diagnosed with chronic illness, health and nutrition have been her #1 priority. She is always looking for (and creating) healthy recipes for the family. All the cooking and gardening content you’ll see is all Becca.
