We get a lot of questions on our social media channels, and one that has come up often is which flower type (Type A or Type B) a specific variety of avocado is classified as.

Avocados are a unique fruit that uses a system called protogynous dichogamy. Where the flower opens as Female on one day, and then Male on the next day (Type A). Or the opposite (Type B)
