Avocado + Greens Smoothie

Full of avocado, green fruits and veggies, and packed with protein, this refreshing smoothie will surely make it into your regular rotaiton.

Equipment

  • 1 Blender any food processor or blender that you have will do

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 medium avocado
  • 1 banana frozen or not
  • 2-3 dates
  • 1 cucumber a pickling size will do, or half a large cucumber
  • 1/2 apple
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 stick celery
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder optional
  • 8 oz milk any type, plant-based will work too. Have 2 additional oz available for a thinner smoothie
  • ice add if preferred

Instructions
 

  • Gather all of your ingredients.
  • Prepare ingredients - peel banana, clean and cut celery, cucumber, and apple, wash spinach.
  • Begin blending 8 oz of your choice of milk with just a few items at a time to ensure everything blends well.
  • Continue adding items one at a time.
  • Add your protein powder last.
  • Add up to 2 additional oz of milk if you prefer a thinner smoothie. You can also add ice for a colder and chunkier texture.
  • Enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • Ice is optional, it can help with chill factor if you don't use a frozen banana
  • Protein powder is optional if you want a super clean food smoothie, but adding it makes the smoothie a great meal replacement
  • As with any recipe, play with it and see what you like! Add more of one ingredient, less of another, or even swap out ingredients completely. Have fun in the kitchen!
