The short version: a few links on this site earn us a small commission. It never costs you anything extra, and it has never changed what we recommend.
Amazon
As an Amazon Associate and Amazon Influencer, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Some of our recipes and grove articles link to products on Amazon. If you buy through one of those links, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is exactly the same either way. Becca also keeps a storefront on Amazon with the ingredients and kitchen tools she uses in our recipes, and that works the same way.
What we will and will not link to
We link to things we actually use — the pole picker in the grove, the blender in the kitchen, the protein powder Becca puts in her smoothie. If we have not used it, it does not go in an article.
We are not paid to write about any product, and no company has any say in what appears here. Where a tool has let us down, we say so. A commission is not worth telling you something that turns out to be wrong when you are standing in your own grove with a broken picking pole.
Our own products
The avocados, the avocado scoop and the merchandise in our shop are ours. Those are not affiliate links — we grow the fruit in Escondido and we ship it ourselves. When an article links to something in our own shop, we are selling it to you directly.
Advertising
Some pages carry advertising served by Google AdSense. Those ads are chosen by Google, not by us, and they are not endorsements. You can read how that works, and how we handle your data, in our privacy policy.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you want to know whether a particular link earns us anything, just ask. Our contact page comes straight to us.
